David Kiloh

UBC Student Housing and Hospitality Services
Director, Facilities & Building Services
Vancouver, BC
David has worked at UBC for 20 years, beginning as a student in the Residence Life program in 1998.  He established a core understanding of and appreciation for the value of an excellent residential experience for students pursuing higher education.  During that time, Student Housing & Hospitality Services (SHHS) has become the largest university provider of student housing in Canada, offering residence space to 13,500 residents at UBC’s Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.  Currently 3200 additional spaces are in planning or construction.
For the past 10 years, he has been the Director responsible for SHHS facilities at the Vancouver Campus, including major new capital projects.  His commitment to exceptional student living environments is evident in the facilities and their operation.
Skeena House is the first Passivhaus project pursued by UBC SHHS contributing 200 of the new bedspaces noted.
David holds a BA (UBC ’01).
